Parents and Students of Denver Citywide Marching Band can earn money to cover their band expenses by participating in a variety of fundraising events. Any family member, or friend, 14 years old or above, may participate in fundraising activities to help raise money for any band member. Generally, 80% of money earned through these activities are deposited in the student's account, while the other 20% goes to the band.

King Soopers gift cards are available in denominations of $25, $50, and $100.  Please call Kelly Wright at 303-906-8998 to arrange delivery or pick-up.  This involves no selling!  If you shop at King Soopers, trade your money evenly for the same value of gift card.  These were purchased at 5% less, so that is how we make our money.  This is an easy way to build up your money a little at a time, without even selling anything..

T-Shirt Fundraiser:

This fundraiser will run from 07/19/10 through 08/01/10.  We are asking businesses to sponsor our band.  Your job will be to go to businesses and ask if they would like to advertize their business on the back of our T-shirt.  The cost is $50.00.  Checks should be made payable to DCMB Parent Corporation.  Please give the white letter starting with “Greetings,” and explain our fundraiser.  Then have them fill in the yellow order form on how they would like their ad to appear, or attach a business card, if they just want it to look like their business card.  If they want their logo on the shirt, they will need to e-mail me what is known as a “vector art file” so that I can e-mail it to the T-shirt company.  My e-mail address is kwagpt@hotmail.com.  For any questions, call Kelly Wright, at 303-906-8998.  If you do not reach me, please leave a voice mail, and I promise to get back to you.  Then fill out the white donation tax receipt form to give to the business.
Please turn in all checks with a corresponding yellow order form for each ad, to Mr. Jordan on the first day of band camp, Monday, 08/02/10.  We need to get these T-shirts made by our first performance. 
This fundraiser has potential to make a lot of money if you get out there and do your part!  Your personal account will get 80% of each ad sold, which is $40.00 per ad.  You can use this money in the future for band fees, future band camps or trips.
